DIVE RECAP - November 12, 2011
The AHS Dive Team had a great first meet this weekend. Divers were able to compete in either a 6 Dive Meet or an 11 Dive Meet. Over 60 divers competed and awards were divided into A-AAAA and AAAAA. Eryn Greathouse placed 4th in AAAAA 11 Dives posting a score of 300 qualifying her for state. Genevieve Watkins scored 90.90 placing 6th among the AAAAA divers competing 6 Dives. Our boys had an awesome meet at well. Freshman Chase Cohen placed 4th in 6Dives with a score of 129.95 with sophomore Robert Cottingham coming in second with a score of 167.55. Senior Crawford Berry won top honors placing first in 6 Dives with a state qualifying score of 213.55. Junior Jack Nyquist placed first in 11 Dives with a score of 550.15 and qualifying for state as well. Great job divers! Four divers will compete with the swim team at our meet this coming weekend. Thanks to Genevieve for making the team Raider water bottles filled with goodies, and thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Cohen for all the snacks for the meet.
